In this book our protagonist, Ada, discovers that there’s something going on in her house and sets out to figure out what that is. Little does she know that throughout her investigation she’ll also form new bonds and renew old ones.

This brings me to my first point: the plot. This book references a lot of other well known books and has a lot of witty one liners however it also manages to build a compelling story on its own – it doesn’t get lost on the humor.

That’s only possible thanks to the characters. They aren’t realistic at all, but they’re really fun to read. I absolutely fell in love with them.

All in all, this is a beautiful little book with a beautiful little adventure that made me feel whole.
