In this show we follor three teens as they try to adjust to a new environment. To do so, some focus on creating a network of friends (Christian), some try to lie low (like Samuel) and some simply focus on their studies (Nadia).

Even though every character has a specific story arc going on (be it self discovery, love triangles or dealing with intolerance), everything’s well put together and each arc intersects another, never confusing things but always adding to them.

This show deals with topics such as islamophobia and self discovery – and the show portrays each problem in a beautiful and nuanced way. Hell, at a certain point I even felt bad for Lu, and she’s a horrible person.

So, the characters are real and their arcs are compelling, what else?

Well, all of this is heightened by the wonderful acting and absolutely beautiful sceneries.

So, if you want to watch a mystery with a killer you won’t easily guess, this is the show for you. Or, at the very least, the season for you.

I’m aware that this isn’t perfect, but it’s trash I’m absolute trash for.

Rating: 8/10
