After the mess that Freak Show was, I hoped that this season would be better. However, this one is at the same level, if not worse.
Don’t get me wrong, I love this show and I love the actors that have stayed throughout the years. But where’s Jessica Lange? AHS isn’t AHS without her, it’s like removing Sarah Paulson.
Also, there were some actores who looked like they only had one emotion, which is really annoying.
But the stars of this season were definitely Evan Peters (god, James Patrick March was crazy) and Angela Bassett (more vampire badassery, please!).
This season definitely suffered from bad casting, and it didn’t help that the characters weren’t interesting.
When it comes to this season’s plot, it was okay at best. Too many important plot points were easy to figure out by yourself and the overall story wasn’t very interesting to begin with.
I talked to a friend about this season and he, having already watched it, told me to drop it because it’s all about sex and blood. I should have listened to him.
Rating: 5/10
